Kriya Yoga

In this stage, you’ll learn the Kriya Yoga Technique, an ancient meditation technique of energy and breath control, or pranayama.

You’ll partake in an Online Kriya Initiation Ceremony with other students. The ceremony is guided by the senior acharyas of Ananda. Here, you’ll take a second vow. A vow of practicing the technique sincerely and regularly.

Note

Due to the pandemic (Covid -19) the ceremony is held online, otherwise it will be held in person at the nearest Ananda city center to you.

Kriya Yoga Technique

The Kriya technique was hidden in secrecy for many centuries. It was revived in 1861 when the great yogi Mahavatar Babaji taught the technique to his disciple Lahiri Mahasaya. Lahiri then taught the technique to his disciple Sri Yukteswar, who taught it to his disciples, including Paramhansa Yogananda.

Kriya Yoga is taught at Ananda Kriya Yoga Home Study just as Paramhansa Yogananda taught it. Kriya has been taught in an unbroken link of spiritual succession to this day.

Important Note:
By this stage, you must be practicing all preparatory techniques taught in the first four steps regularly.
